Sundays at City

City Church is for the whole family. Whether you have little ones, teenagers, college students, or you’re exploring faith on your own, there’s a place for you to belong and grow.

Services begin promptly at 9:00 and 11:00 AM and typically last around an hour and 20 minutes.

 Each week, you can expect:

- Worship through music

- Our Giving Liturgy

- A brief “family meeting” with community updates

- A ~30-minute teaching from scripture

- Our Table Liturgy

- Communion

-A closing worship set

- A shared send-off: “Wherever you are, be the gospel.”

City Church is relaxed and welcoming. Wear what feels right for you—whether it’s jeans and sneakers or your Sunday best. Come as you are.   

Each Sunday, we read two liturgies together as a church—our Giving Liturgy and our Table Liturgy. These shared prayers help center our hearts on generosity, grace, and the presence of Christ. You can read the Giving Liturgy on our Giving page and the Table Liturgy on The Lord’s Table page.

Each Sunday, we come to the table together. We practice open communion, which means anyone who desires to follow Jesus is welcome to participate.

When it’s time to receive communion, your row will be invited to the front. A member of our community will offer you a gluten-free cracker with the words, “Christ’s body broken for you.” You’ll then dip the cracker into a cup of juice held by another person who will say, “Christ’s blood shed for you.”

You’re welcome to eat it right then or return to your seat and take a moment before partaking. 

Pre-packaged communion elements are also available at the front if preferred.

We believe church is more than a service, it’s a community. Come early or linger after to grab a cup of Topeca coffee, browse our curated bookstore, or relax in our café or living room spaces. Kids can enjoy the climb-and-tumble area while you catch up with friends or meet someone new. We always encourage one another to “practice becoming family” by being present, open, and welcoming in the lobby.

If you’re new to City Church, we’d love to meet you. After every service, head to the Welcome Room at the back of the sanctuary to meet a pastor, receive an invite to our next Dinner with the Staff, and pick up a free gift as our way of saying thanks for joining us.

If you’d like someone to stand with you in prayer, our prayer partners are available at the front of the sanctuary after each service. Whether you’re facing a need, celebrating a breakthrough, or simply seeking peace, we’re here to pray with you.
